Every open, click and rupee — in one report
Real-time campaign reports, audience growth, deliverability and the revenue each email brings in.
What reports & analytics in MailNesto does
Reports in MailNesto answer the questions small teams ask after a send: did it arrive, was it read, what was clicked, where are the readers, and did it sell. Every campaign gets a live report, every automation a report per step, and the analytics pages roll it all up for any period you choose.
Numbers follow one set of rules everywhere. Sent means accepted by the receiving server; delivered is sent minus hard bounces; open, click and unsubscribe rates are worked out on delivered emails, and bounce rate on sent. Opens and clicks from security scanners and link checkers are left out, so a corporate list behind a mail filter does not show every link as clicked.
Revenue sits in the same reports. A jewellery store can see, for example, that its Dhanteras email brought in 41 orders worth ₹6.2 lakh — not just how many people opened it.

A live report for every campaign
The campaign report opens on the essentials: sent, delivered, opened, clicked, unsubscribed, hard and soft bounces, and spam complaints, each with its rate. A chart shows opens and clicks hour by hour in the first days and day by day after that, counted from the send or back from now, so you can see how long an email keeps working.
Below are the top inbox domains with their delivery and bounce figures, email apps and devices, unsubscribe reasons, the ten most active readers and a feed of recent activity, plus the lists, segments and exclusions used and whether the email was DKIM-signed.
A/B tests show both versions with their rates, a confidence figure and the leader; you can pick the winner early and it goes to everyone held back.
- Hard and soft bounces counted separately
- Opens and clicks by hour or by day
- Recipient list with each person’s status, exportable as CSV
- Every open and click exportable as an event log
- A/B results with confidence and a manual winner option
See where people clicked
The links tab lists every tracked link with total clicks, unique clickers and the last click. Links no longer in the email, such as from an edited automation email, still appear if people clicked them.
The link heatmap lays those numbers over the email itself. You see at a glance whether people went for the hero banner, the second product or the small text link at the bottom — the kind of thing that tells a store whether to keep a three-product grid or switch to one large offer.
Product clicks are tracked per product, and UTM tags on every link let Google Analytics credit visits to the right campaign.
- Total and unique clicks per link
- Heatmap drawn on top of the email
- Click-to-open rate as a measure of content
- UTM source, medium and campaign on every link
- Scanner and link-checker clicks filtered out
Where your readers are
The map tab plots opens or clicks by country and by city, with the number of people and events in each place. For an Indian sender this is often where the surprises are: a Chennai brand finding a third of its clicks in Bengaluru, or a coaching institute seeing steady interest from Patna.
Locations come from the IP address of each open or click, so treat them as approximate — mail apps that load images through a proxy can place a reader in the proxy’s city.
Act on what you learn. If you store city as a contact field, a segment or a conditional block can then speak to the places that respond — a pop-up event for the new city, or the nearest outlet’s address in the email.
- Opens or clicks on a map, by country and city
- People and events counted per place
- Top countries for opens and for clicks
- Number of countries and cities reached
Revenue from every email, in rupees
Connect Shopify, WooCommerce, Razorpay or your own checkout through the Orders API, and each order is matched against email activity. If the shopper arrived from an email link, the order is credited to that email; otherwise it goes to the last email they clicked in the five days before ordering.
Each campaign report then shows orders, revenue, average order value, revenue per delivered email and the latest orders it earned. Automations show their revenue too, so a cart-recovery journey is judged in rupees, not opens. The analytics overview sets email-credited revenue beside all store revenue for the period, and beside the period before.
Orders also appear on each contact’s timeline with the campaign that earned them — which is how a spa in Udaipur can see which past guests booked again after its monsoon offer.
- Email link first, then last click within five days
- Orders, revenue, average order value and revenue per recipient
- Revenue for each automation
- Email revenue compared with total store revenue
- Revenue column in campaign CSV exports
Compare campaigns and spot trends
Pick two to four campaigns and see them side by side — delivery, opens, clicks, click-to-open, unsubscribes, bounces, complaints, revenue and revenue per recipient — with the best figure in each row marked.
The analytics overview shows the same measures for your whole account over the period you choose, against the period before, split between campaigns and automations, with a heatmap of when your audience opens by weekday and hour. Deeper pages cover audience growth and sign-up sources, weekly sign-up cohorts and how long each stays engaged, devices and email apps, and deliverability by inbox domain with bounce reasons. An AI summary turns the numbers into a short headline and three next steps.
To share results, turn on a read-only link for a campaign report — it shows totals, timeline, links and devices but no contact data — or schedule a summary email every week or month with the sections you choose: summary, campaigns, audience, revenue and deliverability, each compared with the previous period.
- Two to four campaigns side by side, best value marked
- Open heatmap by weekday and hour
- Weekly sign-up cohorts
- Scheduled weekly or monthly report emails
- Read-only report links without contact data
Reports for automations, step by step
Every automation has its own report. At the top: how many people entered, how many are in it now, and how many completed, exited or failed — and, if the journey has a goal, how many reached it and the goal rate. A 30-day chart shows how many new people entered each day.
On the canvas, each step shows how many people reached it and how many are waiting there; conditions show how many went each way, and multi-path steps show the count on every path. Each email step has its own sent, delivered, open, click and unsubscribe figures, with an eight-week trend so you notice when a welcome email that used to work starts to slip.
The report also lists the top reasons people left early, and you can open any contact’s run to see each step with its time. For a journey like a hot-lead alert, that is how you check the salesperson was told while the lead was still warm.
- Entered, active, completed, exited and failed
- Goal conversions and goal rate
- Per-step counts and per-path splits
- Eight-week open and click trend for each email
- Top exit reasons

Reports & analytics for every kind of business
A saree store in Surat puts its three Diwali campaigns side by side and finds the one with a single large offer earned the most revenue per recipient, even though another had the higher open rate.
An institute in Lucknow checks the click heatmap on its admissions email to see which batch timing people clicked most, and the city map to judge interest before opening a weekend centre.
A dental chain in Chennai watches its birthday journey report: the email’s eight-week trend shows when clicks drop, which is the cue to refresh the offer.
A stand-up tour organiser reads the hourly chart for each ticket launch email to find when interest peaks, and uses the city map to pick the next stop on the tour.
An agency schedules a monthly report email for each client with summary, campaigns and revenue sections, and shares read-only report links for big launches.
A newsletter writer tracks weekly sign-up cohorts to see whether readers from a podcast mention stay engaged as long as those from her blog.
- Campaign and automation reports
- A/B test results with winner
- Unsubscribe reasons
- Cohorts and comparisons
- Delivery logs per recipient
- Inbox-provider breakdown
- UTM tagging for Google Analytics
- Website tracking after the click
- CSV exports
- Shareable report links
- Scheduled email reports
- AI summaries
Typical email reports stop at opens and clicks, count every security scanner as a reader, and leave revenue to a separate analytics tool where sales from email get mixed in with every other channel. Comparing campaigns usually means exporting to a spreadsheet, and automation reports often show the journey as a whole rather than step by step.
MailNesto filters scanner and link-checker activity, uses one definition of delivered and of every rate on every screen, and credits store orders to the email that drove them. Click heatmaps, a city map, side-by-side comparison and per-step automation reports are part of the same app, and results can be shared as a link or sent to your inbox on a schedule.
Tips for better results
- 1
Judge campaigns on clicks and revenue more than opens. Privacy features in some mail apps load images automatically, which makes open rates less reliable than they once were.
- 2
Compare like with like: put three festival campaigns side by side, not a festival sale next to a monthly newsletter.
- 3
Check the open heatmap before choosing a send time; it shows when your own audience usually reads, which matters more than general advice.
- 4
If one inbox domain shows far more bounces than the others, look at its row in the deliverability report before you send again.
- 5
Read unsubscribe reasons every month. A rise in “too many emails” is a sign to promote the pause option in your preference centre.
- 6
Give each automation a goal; the goal rate says more about a journey’s health than the open rate of any one email in it.
- 7
Schedule a monthly report to whoever approves your marketing budget — a summary with revenue in rupees makes the case for email on its own.
Questions about reports & analytics
Do you count opens from Apple Mail Privacy Protection?
Machine opens and security-scanner clicks are detected and left out, so open and click rates reflect real readers.
Can I see revenue from Shopify or WooCommerce?
Yes. Connect your store and orders placed within 5 days of an email click are credited to that email.
How soon do numbers appear after I send?
Straight away. The report updates while the campaign is sending, and opens, clicks, bounces and orders are added as they happen.
Why might my open rate differ from another tool?
Rates here are worked out on delivered emails (sent minus hard bounces), and opens and clicks from scanners and link checkers are left out. Tools that divide by everything sent, or count scanner activity, will show different figures.
Can my client see a report without logging in?
Yes. Turn on the share link for a campaign report and send it. It shows totals, the timeline, links and devices, but no contact details, and you can switch the link off at any time.
Which time zone do reports use?
Your workspace time zone, India Standard Time for most accounts. Daily charts, the hourly timeline and the open heatmap all follow it.
Can I export report data?
Yes. Export a campaign’s recipients with their status, its full log of opens and clicks, or a list of all campaigns in a period with delivered, opens, clicks, bounces, complaints, orders and revenue as CSV.
Are all reports included on every plan?
Campaign and automation reports are. Some deeper analytics pages, such as audience growth, engagement cohorts, devices and deliverability by domain, depend on your plan — see pricing for what each includes.
